Board Chairman

James B. Kokulo is a tax administration and banking professional with over a decade of experience in banking, public finance, and revenue administration. He currently serves as the Manager for Bank and Service Delivery Monitoring at the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA), where he works with commercial banks, mobile money providers, and other stakeholders to strengthen digital tax payment systems, improve payment reconciliation, and enhance taxpayer service delivery. Before joining the LRA, he spent seven years in the banking sector with Guaranty Trust Bank (Liberia) Limited and AccessBank Liberia, The Microfinance Bank, where he built extensive experience in banking operations, customer service, payment systems, and financial services.<br><br>James earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Liberia and an Executive Master’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from the African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU). He has also participated in professional training and benchmarking programs in Kenya, Sweden, South Africa, Ghana, and the United States, gaining valuable exposure to international best practices in taxation, banking, digital transformation, and public financial management.<br><br>Beyond his professional work, James is passionate about mentoring young professionals, teaching, and speaking on leadership, personal development, and national growth. He believes in integrity, continuous learning, and using technology to improve public service delivery and strengthen institutions.<br><br>His commitment is to help build a more efficient, transparent, and inclusive revenue system that supports Liberia’s sustainable economic development.

Cornelius J. Dyuodeh is a seasoned banking and financial services executive with over 15 years of progressive leadership experience in banking operations, credit management, risk management, internal audit, compliance, and microfinance. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of First Liberian Microfinance, Inc., where he oversees the institution’s overall operations, strategic growth, credit portfolio, regulatory compliance, and financial performance. <br><br>Throughout his career, he has held several senior leadership positions, including Risk & Compliance Manager and Head of Risk, as well as Branch Manager and Senior Internal Auditor at AccessBank Liberia Ltd., consistently demonstrating expertise in institutional governance, risk mitigation, operational excellence, and sustainable business growth.<br><br>Cornelius is a Graduate School candidate in Banking and Finance at the University of Liberia and holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the same institution. He also earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Management Development through the Access Campus program in Berlin, Germany. His professional strengths include strategic leadership, corporate governance, credit administration, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, financial analysis, internal controls, staff development, and business process improvement. He has extensive experience working with boards of directors, regulators, development partners, and diverse stakeholders to strengthen financial institutions and promote sound banking practices.<br><br>Driven by a passion for financial inclusion and economic empowerment, Cornelius is committed to building resilient financial institutions that expand access to quality financial services for underserved communities. Alfred K. Dennis is a highly accomplished finance and accounting executive with more than 17 years of progressive leadership experience in financial management, corporate accounting, treasury operations, budgeting, financial reporting, human resource management, and institutional governance. Holding a Master’s Degree in Corporate and Public Finance, he has established a distinguished career marked by strategic financial leadership and operational excellence across the banking, microfinance, higher education, and nonprofit sectors.<br>Renowned for his analytical acumen and commitment to financial integrity, Alfred possesses extensive expertise in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, treasury management, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), internal controls, regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management, organizational development, and corporate governance. Throughout his career, he has consistently delivered innovative financial solutions, strengthened institutional accountability, optimized operational performance, and enhanced organizational sustainability.<br>As the Financial Comptroller of Smythe University College, Alfred provides executive leadership for the University’s financial management and administrative functions. He oversees strategic budgeting, financial reporting, revenue optimization, cash flow management, internal control systems, and fiscal policy implementation while ensuring compliance with applicable financial regulations and institutional policies. Working closely with the University’s executive leadership and governing bodies, he plays a pivotal role in strengthening financial governance, improving operational efficiency, and advancing the institution’s long-term strategic and financial objectives.<br>Prior to joining Smythe University College, Alfred served as Head of Finance and Human Resources at OYA Micro-Credit Company, where he successfully integrated sound financial management with strategic human capital administration to improve organizational performance. Earlier in his career, he held several senior finance and accounting positions at AccessBank Liberia, where he gained extensive experience in financial reporting, treasury operations, banking compliance, liquidity management, and financial controls. These roles provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the financial services industry and reinforced his ability to lead complex financial operations within highly regulated environments.<br>Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Alfred is deeply committed to leadership development, academic advancement, and community service. He currently serves as the Financial Secretary and President of the Men’s Department at Grace Community Church, where he exemplifies integrity, servant leadership, accountability, and responsible stewardship.
